TurtleBot3 Burger represents a modern mobile robotic platform designed to be modular, compact, and highly customizable. It supports the open source ROS (Robotic Operating System), making it an ideal option for robotics applications in education, hobby, research and product development. Due to its low cost and small size, TurtleBot3 Burger is particularly suitable for those who wish to learn and experiment with ROS. This two-wheeled platform uses a differential drive system and is customizable in various ways, allowing access to advanced technologies such as Depth Sensitivity, 3D Printing, and the use of Single Board Computer (SBC) boards.
In terms of motion, TurtleBot3 Burger is based on the Dynamixel XL series actuators, which support several operating modes, including control of wheel speed, torque, and joint position, among others.
The OpenCR 1.0 control board, which serves as the heart of the TurtleBot3 Burger platform, is open source and ROS compatible. It offers a versatile power supply (3.3V, 5V and 12V) and integrates a 360° LIDAR IMU sensor with 9 axes, ensuring precise control of Dynamixel actuators and the wide range of Robotis sensors, including touch, infrared, color and many others.
