The new range of Dynamixel servomotors offers new and exciting features for robotics enthusiasts:

• Torque control: one of the main strengths of the XM-430 range, based on current measurement to achieve the desired power in continuous flow.
• PWM control: Dynamixel opens up to PWM, which is great news for radio-controlled vehicle enthusiasts who can now dose the torque and output speed of their mobile robot.
• Trajectory control: 4 types of trajectory are now possible due to the addition of acceleration and velocity profiles. By controlling these two parameters, an "effect" can be applied to the robot's motion.
• Current-based position control: position control and torque control are combined to fine-tune the robot's movements.
• Position and speed control: not a surprise, this was already a feature of previous Robotis servo motors.
• The cable can be connected at the rear, thus reducing wear and tear and the risk of crushing.

This new robot servo motor is intended to satisfy fans of radio-controlled rotary vehicles and articulated robots with arms, hands, and grippers.

Dynamixel XM-430 servo motor: a new generation of MX-28

The XM-430 series of Dynamixel servomotors may be slightly less powerful than the MX-106 , but represents a welcome update to the series MX-28 . More powerful and faster, they are also much more energy efficient: 40 mA instead of the 100 mA of their predecessors! Your robot is about to gain great autonomy.

Note that the power supply remains the same between MX-28 and XM-430.

In terms of ergonomics, the XM430-W350-R servo motor is slightly more compact than the MX-28. The newcomer has a more compact design. The newcomer's design has a little extra: the cables are connected directly to the motor and locked by a cover, eliminating any possibility of false contact.

However, the location of the threaded holes is not the same, so it is necessary to purchase the metal structural parts specially developed by Robotis for its new creation. Several sets are already available on our website!
