The Dynamixel MX-64T servo motor.

Servomotorsย MX-64Rย and MX-64T are the new additions to Dynamixel's MX range. They replace and enhance the RX-64 servo motor with a non-contact absolute position sensor with 12-bit accuracy (4096 positions), 360ยฐ position control (previously 251ยฐ), continuous speed control, and current-based torque estimation.

In addition, the controller is a PID (ย proportional integral derivativeย ), the parameters of which can be changed on an engine-by-engine basis. The allowable values are between 0 and 255, so the PID coefficients are calculated according to the following formulas.

The RX-64 servo motor housing has also been slightly modified, so the MX-64T servo motor is not compatible with the HN05-N101/T101 disk.

The Dynamixel MX-64T servo motor supports the TTL communication protocol (while the MX-64R servo motor uses RS485 communication) at high speed (3Mbs), so it is compatible with the CM-510, CM-530, and CM-700 controllers. Note that the recommended operating voltage is no longer the same as that of the RX-64.
