OpenManipulator Set RM-X52: Articulated Arm for TurtleBot3
Discover the OpenManipulator Set RM-X52, the ideal solution for expanding the capabilities of your TurtleBot3 Waffle o Waffle Pi. This complete kit includes all the mechanical components needed to assemble a highly versatile robotic arm equipped with 4 degrees of freedom and a handy gripper on the end, perfect for a wide range of robotics projects.
With all tools and screws included, assembly will be a breeze. After assembling your OpenManipulator, you can install it on ROBOTIS' ROS robotics platform, such as TurtleBot3 Waffle or Waffle Pi, using a Raspberry Pi 3 board. Compatibility also extends to computers that support this platform.
- Facilitates installation on a compatible base (Plate-02 Base), to ensure that the articulated arm is positioned at the desired height, such as on a table. You can test operation by connecting it to your PC using the U2D2 Dynamixel/PC connector.
Dynamixel Compatible Servomotors for the RM-X52 OpenManipulator
It is important to note that the servomotors are not included in the OpenManipulator set and will need to be purchased separately according to the specific needs of your project. Choosing the right servo motor is critical to the efficient operation of the robotic arm.
- You can opt for the Dynamixel servomotors in models XH430, XM430 and XL430, all of which are compatible with OpenManipulator;
- Remember to also consider the type of communication and payload for your project;
- Some servomotors may require specific configurations for proper operation with OpenManipulator;
- If you wish to combine an XL430 servomotor with the other XH or XM430 models, be sure to select servomotors in version TTL;
- Be advised that the AX / MX, X540 and PRO series are not compatible.
