The U2D2 Dynamixel/PC connector: create connections with your computer

The U2D2 Dynamixel/PC connector allows you to use a USB connection to program your Dynamixel servomotors directly from your PC. About the size of a USB flash drive, it includes 1 TTL port, 1 RS-485 port, and 1 UART port, so you can use the connector with most Dynamixel servomotor models, but also with servomotor controllers that use a UART connection.

Using the Robotis U2D2 connector with a Dynamixel servo

You can use your Robotis U2D2 connector with the 4 major Dynamixel servomotor families:

• Using a Molex-JST converter cable: Dynamixel AX/MX series servomotors and Dynamixel Pro (RS-485)
• Using a JST cable: Dynamixel X-series servomotors (X3P and X4P cables provided)

Please note that the U2D2 connector does not provide power; therefore, it will be necessary to provide an additional power source for the servomotors.
